Pale Lobo
Level 17 Wildlife · Widow's Peak
In Desperados Destiny, Pale Lobo is a level 17 wildlife — a mid-game threat that expects a built character.
Field notes
It paces the ridge at the hour the light goes flat, always at the same distance, always upwind — which is the wrong way round for a wolf and the right way round for something that does not need to smell you. Shoot it and the shot goes through. Hit it and it bleeds. Nobody has ever found a body.
What you are walking into
Pale Lobo is level 17, carries 232 health, and is classed Elite. That makes it a mid-game threat that expects a built character. It punishes over-commitment, turning your weaker hands back on you, so patience beats aggression here. Every exchange resolves through the Destiny Deck: you draw five cards, choose what to hold, and the resulting poker hand decides how the action lands. Suit matches amplify the result, so the same fight against Pale Lobo plays out differently each time you take it on.
Where to find Pale Lobo
Pale Lobo is encountered at Widow's Peak. You will need to have discovered and travelled to that location before it can appear as a target, and travel between regions carries its own risks — routes are rolled for interception, and a bad roll puts an encounter between you and your destination. The full entry for Widow's Peak covers what else is there.
What it drops
A kill pays 340 experience and between $52 and $104. Its loot table can yield Iron Hide Pelt, Animal Bones and Spirit Stone. Drops are rolled per kill, so a full set takes repeat hunting. The first time you kill any species it is also recorded in your Field Guide, which pays a large one-off experience bonus and counts toward the Guide's completion milestones.
