Blind Cave Stalker
Level 20 Wildlife · The Sunken Mine
Blind Cave Stalker is one of the wildlife threats a player meets in Desperados Destiny, sitting at level 20.
Field notes
A pale, eyeless amphibious predator that navigates by sonar — players with loud equipment are detected first. Cave-adapted, smaller and faster than the wetland gator, and patient enough to wait in total darkness for hours.
What you are walking into
Blind Cave Stalker is level 20, carries 180 health, and is classed Stalker. That makes it a mid-game threat that expects a built character. It fights by attrition — damage that keeps working after the hand is played, so a long fight favours it rather than you. Every exchange resolves through the Destiny Deck: you draw five cards, choose what to hold, and the resulting poker hand decides how the action lands. Suit matches amplify the result, so the same fight against Blind Cave Stalker plays out differently each time you take it on.
Where to find Blind Cave Stalker
Blind Cave Stalker is encountered at The Sunken Mine. You will need to have discovered and travelled to that location before it can appear as a target, and travel between regions carries its own risks — routes are rolled for interception, and a bad roll puts an encounter between you and your destination. The full entry for The Sunken Mine covers what else is there.
What it drops
A kill pays 240 experience and between $8 and $20. Its loot table can yield Animal Bones, Blind Cave Fish and Venom Sac. Drops are rolled per kill, so a full set takes repeat hunting. The first time you kill any species it is also recorded in your Field Guide, which pays a large one-off experience bonus and counts toward the Guide's completion milestones.
