Widow's Peak Tunnel is a mine in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
Two hundred feet of blasted rock. Boom McGraw's finest work and possibly his last. The tunnel cuts straight through the peak's heart. Structurally sound. Geologically stable. Spiritually catastrophic. Every support beam vibrates. Every shadow moves wrong. The air tastes like ozone and regret. Workers refuse to enter. Boom says they're cowards. The Nahi say they're wise. The tunnel connects to something. Not another valley—another place. Congratulations. You found the door. Now close it before something notices.
Getting there
Widow's Peak Tunnel is a mine; it sits in the Settler Territory zone, in the Sangre Mountains region, and expects a character of at least level 8. It is dangerous country, and the roads to it are worse than the place itself. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
