Upper Town is a settlement in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
The wealthy district of Red Gulch perched on the canyon rim. Victorian mansions painted white and pastel stand in defiance of the red dust. Baron Whitmore's mansion dominates the skyline—three stories of ostentatious wealth built on silver and blood. Gas lamps actually work here. Streets are swept daily. The air smells of perfume and cigars. Below, Lower Town sprawls like a necessary evil.
Getting there
Upper Town is a settlement; it sits in the Settler Territory zone, in the Town region. It is low-risk country — trouble is possible but uncommon. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
