Trickster's Table is a saloon in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
A gambling den that appeared at Coyote's Crossroads without any obvious explanation — no one hired builders, no one saw it go up, and the deed when examined lists the owner as "Him." The dealer has been here longer than anyone can remember and wins at a rate that should be statistically impossible, but no one has ever caught him cheating. The whiskey is excellent.
What you notice standing there
Lantern light flickers against walls hung with playing cards bearing suits that do not match any known deck. The tables are always full regardless of the hour. Laughter here has an edge to it, like everyone is in on a joke at your expense. The dealer smiles with too many teeth for a man his age.
Getting there
Trickster's Table is a saloon; in the Town region, and expects a character of at least level 8. It carries real risk; travel here is not something to do underlevelled. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
