Thunderbird's Eyrie is a shrine in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
The sacred nest of the Thunderbird itself, a massive structure of woven branches, sacred stones, and ancient power perched on the highest peak. Lightning crackles in the air. The wind speaks with voices. The Great Spirit that dwells here is REAL - an entity of immense power that has watched over these mountains since time immemorial. Only those who have proven themselves worthy through the Path of Thunder may approach.
What you notice standing there
The air crackles with supernatural energy. Storm clouds gather and disperse at the Thunderbird's whim. The massive nest is woven from lightning-struck trees, and ancient stones carved with symbols glow faintly. The presence of the Great Spirit is overwhelming - beautiful and terrifying in equal measure. Those who stand here feel the weight of eternity.
Getting there
Thunderbird's Eyrie is a shrine; in the Sangre Mountains region, and expects a character of at least level 20. It is among the most dangerous ground in the Territory. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
