The Railroad Wound is a train station in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
Where the railroad tracks cut through Kaiowa sacred lands. The Coalition calls it "The Railroad Wound" - a scar where technology violated sacred balance. The Iron Horse Revenant, a ghost train, is said to appear at midnight.
What you notice standing there
Iron rails slice through red stone. Scattered buffalo bones bleach in the sun. Workers speak of accidents and a ghost train that runs the old routes. The land itself seems to resist progress.
Getting there
The Railroad Wound is a train station; it sits in the Settler Territory zone, in the Town region. It carries real risk; travel here is not something to do underlevelled. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
