Station Master's Office is a telegraph office in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
A neat clapboard building at the head of the platform where Hank Wheeler runs the most efficient operation in the territory — or so he will tell you himself, at length, with supporting documentation. The telegraph clicks constantly. The timetables are laminated in protective varnish. The coffee is terrible but endless.
What you notice standing there
Every surface has a purpose. Timetables are pinned with military precision. The telegraph operator never looks up from his key. A large map of the rail network covers one wall with pins marking delays. Wheeler himself moves between the map and his desk with the energy of a man who has decided his job matters cosmically.
Getting there
Station Master's Office is a telegraph office; in the Town region, and expects a character of at least level 5. It carries real risk; travel here is not something to do underlevelled. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
