Sangre Canyon is a canyon in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
The 30-mile spine of the territory, holding the only permanent water source. Blood-red walls have witnessed countless ambushes.
What you notice standing there
The Rio Sangre flows cold and clear through towering red walls. Ancient petroglyphs decorate cliff faces.
Getting there
Sangre Canyon is a canyon; it sits in the Sangre Canyon zone, in the Devils Canyon region. It is dangerous country, and the roads to it are worse than the place itself. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.

4 creatures are known to range around Sangre Canyon: Canyon Sidewinder (level 8), Rio Sangre Runner (level 10), Sangre Shade (level 14) and The Grave-Wurm (level 10). Each is recorded separately in the Field Guide, and a first kill on any species pays a substantial one-off experience bonus.
