Sacred Springs is a springs in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
A mystical site where hot springs bubble from deep within the earth, creating pools of crystal-clear water. The Nahi have considered this place sacred for generations. The water is said to have healing properties, and spirits are believed to dwell here. Only those who show proper respect are welcome.
What you notice standing there
Steam rises from turquoise pools, creating an otherworldly mist. The smell of minerals and earth fills the air. Rock formations create natural shelters and sitting areas. The silence is profound, broken only by bubbling water. It feels like stepping into another world.
Getting there
Sacred Springs is a springs; it sits in the Hunting Grounds zone, in the Sacred Lands region. It is low-risk country — trouble is possible but uncommon. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
What hunts here
5 creatures are known to range around Sacred Springs: Foreman Graves (level 5), Martinez (level 4), Nahi Water Guardian (level 6), Spring Salamander (level 8) and The Sun-Eater (level 11). Each is recorded separately in the Field Guide, and a first kill on any species pays a substantial one-off experience bonus.
