Red Gulch Creek is a wilderness in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
A winding creek that flows down from the mountains, passing through red rock formations that give it its name. The water is clear and cold, teeming with trout and catfish. Prospectors still pan for gold here, though the rich strikes are long gone. The banks provide clay and river stones for construction.
What you notice standing there
The creek babbles over smooth stones, creating a soothing melody. Red sandstone cliffs rise on both sides, creating natural shelves where you can sit and fish. The occasional flash of silver betrays a fish beneath the surface.
Getting there
Red Gulch Creek is a wilderness; it sits in the Settler Territory zone, in the Town region. It is low-risk country — trouble is possible but uncommon. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
