Rail Yard Workshop is a workshop in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
The industrial heart of the station — a wide-open ironworks shed where the railroad's rolling stock gets hammered, welded, and argued at back into service. The floor is black with grease and good intentions. The tools are excellent. The engineers are territorial about both.
What you notice standing there
Steam, sparks, and the rhythmic pounding of metal on metal. A partially disassembled locomotive takes up half the floor. Engineers argue over technical drawings pinned to a board. The smell of hot iron and coal smoke is overwhelming and somehow also deeply satisfying.
Getting there
Rail Yard Workshop is a workshop; in the Town region, and expects a character of at least level 6. It carries real risk; travel here is not something to do underlevelled. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
