Prospector's Camp is a mine in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
A ramshackle mining camp clinging to the canyon wall. Old Pete "Goldfever" McCready has been searching for the mother lode for fifteen years, and he swears he's getting close. Rusted equipment and abandoned claims litter the area.
What you notice standing there
Canvas tents flap in the wind. Sluice boxes and mining equipment rust in the sun. The constant sound of picks striking stone echoes off canyon walls. Desperate hope and bitter disappointment hang equally thick in the air.
Getting there
Prospector's Camp is a mine; in the Outlaw Territory region. It is dangerous country, and the roads to it are worse than the place itself. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
