Perdition
Ghost Town · Sangre Canyon · Danger 8
Perdition is a ghost town in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
Once a thriving mining town until the vein ran dry and something worse was unearthed in the deep tunnels. Now abandoned, its buildings decay under the desert sun. Locals say the Warden of Perdition still walks these streets, eternally punishing those who dare trespass.
What you notice standing there
Wind howls through empty buildings. Doors creak on rusted hinges. Shadows move in abandoned windows. The silence is broken only by the distant clank of chains from the old prison.
Getting there
Perdition is a ghost town; it sits in the Sangre Canyon zone, in the Devils Canyon region, and expects a character of at least level 20. It is dangerous country, and the roads to it are worse than the place itself. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
What hunts here
7 creatures are known to range around Perdition: Cursed Townsperson (level 17), Perdition Hound (level 16), Perdition Scavenger (level 16), Rock Viper (level 5), Salt Scorpion (level 2), The Repeater (level 14) and The Silver Widow (level 22). Each is recorded separately in the Field Guide, and a first kill on any species pays a substantial one-off experience bonus.
