Mission Chapel
Sacred Site · Frontier · Danger 1
Mission Chapel is a sacred site in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
The old Mission chapel where Padre Alejandro tends to his flock. The architecture is Spanish colonial—thick adobe walls, dark wood pews, candles flickering before santos. There's a cold spot near the altar where the padre refuses to stand. Locals make the sign of the cross when passing it.
What you notice standing there
Incense and old wood. Whispered prayers echo off stone walls. The cold spot near the altar makes your breath fog even in summer. Candles flicker when no wind blows. Peace and dread exist in equal measure here.
Getting there
Mission Chapel is a sacred site; it sits in the Frontier zone, in the Frontier region. It is low-risk country — trouble is possible but uncommon. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
What hunts here
One creature is known to range around Mission Chapel: Padre Alejandro (level 8). Each is recorded separately in the Field Guide, and a first kill on any species pays a substantial one-off experience bonus.
