Mine Office is a settlement in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
The nerve center of the mining operation where owner Jasper Goldfinger III makes his fortune. Mahogany desk, expensive cigars, and leather chairs stand in stark contrast to the poverty outside. Here deals are made, claims are stolen legally, and the books are carefully cooked to maximize profits.
What you notice standing there
Opulent compared to everything else at the mine. Persian rugs, oil paintings of the Goldfinger family, a mahogany desk imported from Philadelphia. Jasper Goldfinger III holds court here, smoking expensive cigars and making deals that enrich him while miners die below. Filing cabinets contain property deeds, claim records, and financial ledgers. Two armed guards stand outside.
Getting there
Mine Office is a settlement; in the Sangre Mountains region, and expects a character of at least level 5. It carries real risk; travel here is not something to do underlevelled. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
