La Cueva de los Espíritus is a spirit lodge in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
Deep in the cliffs above the Frontera, a sacred cave where the boundary between worlds grows thin. The Prophet dwells here in darkness, his blind eyes seeing what others cannot. Those who brave the vision quest emerge changed - if they emerge at all.
What you notice standing there
Ancient petroglyphs cover the cave walls, illuminated by sacred fires. The air tastes of sage and peyote smoke. Whispers echo from deep within - though whether from spirits or madness, who can say?
Getting there
La Cueva de los Espíritus is a spirit lodge; in the Town region, and expects a character of at least level 10. It is dangerous country, and the roads to it are worse than the place itself. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
