Goldfinger's Mine is a mine in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
The mine that started the gold rush, now a dangerous labyrinth producing millions in gold. Cave-ins are common, and the ghost of Goldfinger haunts the deep tunnels.
What you notice standing there
Steam engines thump and pickaxes crack. Exhausted miners emerge covered in red dust. Workers whisper about seeing Goldfinger's ghost.
Getting there
Goldfinger's Mine is a mine; it sits in the Sangre Canyon zone, in the Sangre Mountains region. It is dangerous country, and the roads to it are worse than the place itself. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
