Devil's Canyon - Upper Trails is a canyon in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
The treacherous upper reaches of the infamous Devil's Canyon. The trails here are narrow and crumbling, with deadly falls waiting for the careless. But those brave enough to explore find rare minerals and gemstones embedded in the canyon walls. Legends speak of lost prospector caches hidden in the rocks.
What you notice standing there
Wind howls through the narrow canyon, making every step treacherous. The trails are barely wide enough for one person. Far below, the canyon floor is lost in shadow. Mineral veins glitter in the stone, tantalizing and dangerous to reach.
Getting there
Devil's Canyon - Upper Trails is a canyon; it sits in the Frontier zone, in the Frontier region. It is among the most dangerous ground in the Territory. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
