Badlands Canyon - Southern Gorge is a canyon in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
The lower section of the canyon where a trickle of water creates a thin ribbon of life. Rare fish swim in the pools, and unique desert plants grow near the water. The gorge is cooler than the upper trails but more enclosed - a perfect place for ambushes.
What you notice standing there
Water drips down the canyon walls, creating mineral deposits and small pools. The sound of water echoes eerily. Plants unknown elsewhere cling to the damp stones. The walls close in overhead, leaving only a strip of sky visible.
Getting there
Badlands Canyon - Southern Gorge is a canyon; it sits in the Sangre Canyon zone, in the Outlaw Territory region. It is among the most dangerous ground in the Territory. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
