Badlands Canyon - Northern Trail is a canyon in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
The upper reaches of a massive canyon system that cuts through Frontera territory. The northern trail offers stunning views but treacherous footing. Desert minerals, rare cactus, and scorpion venom can be gathered here. Bandits use the canyon as an ambush point for unwary travelers.
What you notice standing there
Red sandstone walls tower hundreds of feet overhead. The trail is narrow, with sheer drops on one side. Desert plants cling to impossible perches. The sun beats down mercilessly, and shade is precious. Distant echoes suggest others might be in the canyon.
Getting there
Badlands Canyon - Northern Trail is a canyon; it sits in the Frontier zone, in the Outlaw Territory region. It is dangerous country, and the roads to it are worse than the place itself. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
