The Golden Spur Saloon is a saloon in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
The most popular watering hole in Red Gulch, where miners spend their hard-earned dollars on whiskey and cards. The piano plays from dusk till dawn, and rumors flow as freely as the drinks. Dancing Jenny's evening performances draw crowds from across the territory.
What you notice standing there
Tobacco smoke hangs thick in the air. The piano player pounds out a lively tune while miners crowd the bar. Card games at the back tables draw high rollers and desperate gamblers alike. The smell of Old Chen's cooking drifts from the kitchen, mixing with whiskey and sawdust.
Getting there
The Golden Spur Saloon is a saloon; in the Town region. It carries real risk; travel here is not something to do underlevelled. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
