Tent City is a camp in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
A sprawling camp of tents and shacks where the desperate, the hopeful, and the damned make their homes. Preacher Ezekiel Jones tends to souls while "Crazy" Mary mumbles about spirits and dollars. The Company pretends it doesn't exist.
What you notice standing there
Canvas tents flap in the wind. Campfires flicker against the darkness. The smell of unwashed bodies and cooking beans. Children play in the dust while their parents dream of striking it rich. At night, strange sounds come from the hills.
Getting there
Tent City is a camp; in the Town region. It is dangerous country, and the roads to it are worse than the place itself. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
