Sixth Warning Post
Outpost · Coalition Lands · Danger 6
Sixth Warning Post is a outpost in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
A lonely post on a wind-scoured ridge. A ring of blackened stones marks where the Sixth Warning fire is lit only when the Coalition faces extinction. The elders swear it should never burn in peacetime. Lately it has burned anyway. Someone is playing with ancient alarms, betting panic will scatter defenders before the real strike lands.
What you notice standing there
The signal-fire ring holds ash from a burn nobody logged. Wind never lets up on this ridge — sentries rotate every two hours because past that the cold starts arguing with your judgment. Somebody relit this fire eleven days ago, and the post log doesn't say who.
Getting there
Sixth Warning Post is a outpost; it sits in the Coalition Lands zone, in the Sacred Lands region, and expects a character of at least level 9. It is dangerous country, and the roads to it are worse than the place itself. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
What hunts here
4 creatures are known to range around Sixth Warning Post: Ashford Survey Runner (level 10), Canyon Wren Swarm (level 8), Mesa Smoke Devil (level 11) and The Char-Warden (level 13). Each is recorded separately in the Field Guide, and a first kill on any species pays a substantial one-off experience bonus.
