The place itself
Eight hundred feet below Red Gulch. Timber supports groan. Gas lamps flicker. The air tastes like copper and fear. This is the main shaft—Baron Whitmore's pride, the town's livelihood, and the site of forty-three deaths in eighteen months. Official cause: accidents. Miner whispers: something else. The deeper crews refuse night shifts. Morning shift finds tools moved, supports damaged, warnings written in languages nobody speaks. Production continues. People die. Progress demands sacrifice.
Getting there
Red Lady Mine - Shaft 7 is a mine; it sits in the Settler Territory zone, in the Dusty Flats region, and expects a character of at least level 4. It carries real risk; travel here is not something to do underlevelled. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
