Old Railroad Tunnel is a ruins in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
A half-finished tunnel blasted through solid rock during a failed rail expansion. Collapses blocked parts of the interior, but side passages still connect to hidden storage alcoves and forgotten supply rooms.
What you notice standing there
Cold draft, wet stone, and the metallic smell of rusting rails. Sounds travel strangely through the dark, making every step uncertain.
Getting there
Old Railroad Tunnel is a ruins; it sits in the Frontier zone, in the Frontier region. It is dangerous country, and the roads to it are worse than the place itself. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
