Mesa Gate Watch is a guardpost in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
The guardpost controlling access to the mesa trail. Nothing and no one enters or leaves Kaiowa Mesa without passing Notched Spear's watch. The gate log is the most complete record on the mesa, and Notched Spear reads it every night.
What you notice standing there
A cramped stone structure with a wide view of the only trail up. A signal fire is banked and ready. The gate log sits open on a flat stone. The watch changes at dawn, noon, and dusk.
Getting there
Mesa Gate Watch is a guardpost; in the Town region. It carries real risk; travel here is not something to do underlevelled. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
