El Mercado Negro is a general store in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
The night market where anything can be bought if you know who to ask. Stolen goods, contraband, and forbidden items change hands under the cover of darkness.
What you notice standing there
Shadowy stalls line narrow alleys lit only by guttering lanterns. Vendors speak in whispers and deals are sealed with coded phrases. Everyone watches their back.
Getting there
El Mercado Negro is a general store; in the Town region. It is dangerous country, and the roads to it are worse than the place itself. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
