Claim Jumper Camp is a camp in the Sangre Territory, the 1869 frontier setting of the free browser MMO Desperados Destiny.
The place itself
A semi-permanent camp where claim jumpers operate, stealing mining claims and ore from legitimate prospectors. These desperate or criminal men live rough, moving when the law gets too close. They fence stolen ore and equipment through Frontera contacts.
What you notice standing there
Tents and rough shelters surround a central fire. Stolen mining equipment lies in heaps. Men clean weapons and count stolen gold. The camp has a temporary feel - ready to move at a moment's notice.
Getting there
Claim Jumper Camp is a camp; it sits in the Outlaw Territory zone, in the Outlaw Territory region. It is dangerous country, and the roads to it are worse than the place itself. Travel in Desperados Destiny costs energy and takes in-game time, and a route can be interrupted — the danger rating of the road feeds directly into how often that happens. Locations must be discovered before you can travel to them directly, and discovering one for the first time pays experience.
